Post Falls chlorinating water

| November 11, 2016 8:00 PM

POST FALLS — The city of Post Falls is chlorinating its water system this month as part of routine fall maintenance.

The process started Nov. 1 and will continue until the end of the month. It is done to ensure safe water for city water customers, a city press release states.

The chlorine concentration is .3 to .6 parts per million. An odor or different taste to the water may be noticeable during the process.

Drinking water can be put into a pitcher and left to sit out several hours or overnight to dissipate the chlorine odor and taste.
