Dr. Charles J. Clock Jr., 82
Dr. Charles J. Clock Jr. EdD, passed away peacefully at his home in Post Falls, Idaho, on Oct. 28, 2016. He was born in Redlands, Calif., to Dr. Charles J. Clock Sr. and Emasue McDaniel.
Charles graduated from San Jose University and the University of Massachusetts with his EdD. His work took him from coast to coast, and overseas in Saudi Arabia and Egypt until his retirement. He was a founding member of bankcda. His passions were his family, traveling and teaching test-taking strategies to students. When he and Dorothy married, he promised to take her to the ends of the world. After many cross country road trips and 18 trips around the world together, his promise to her was kept.
Charles is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and two sons, Paul and his wife, Julie of Coeur d’Alene, David and his wife, Michelle, and his two grandchildren, Bailey and Connor of Gray, Maine.
Charles fought through five different cancers with unbelievable strength, great humor and smiles. Charles would say often: “He had everything under control,” or would tell you to “behave” as he was saying goodbye to you. Pops, we will behave. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his friends and family for his intelligence, integrity and keen sense of humor.
The family wants to thank Hospice of North Idaho for all the loving care they gave to him and the family in his final days.
Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Charles’ online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
