LABRADOR: Keep federal lands

| November 2, 2016 9:00 PM

I am on the mailing list for Congressman Labrador’s emails.

I mostly disagree with him.

Using his website to contact him I always checked the box that I wanted a response. I received canned answers that were usually not addressing my concerns.

Now I am on his blacklist since I have not received a requested response for more than two years.

Before becoming a congressman, Labrador made his living as an immigration lawyer.

I immigrated legally from Germany 54 years ago. Legal immigrants do not need an immigration lawyer who is generally hired by illegals who often cannot really afford the exorbitant fees. Win or lose, the lawyer wins since he is paid up front. If he loses the case, the client is deported. Case closed.

I consider Labrador an immigrant just like me, only he did not have to apply for the green card since he came from our pseudo colony of Puerto Rico.

I stayed in the USA because of our National Parks, Forests and other public lands that do not exist in Europe. Therefore, I am vehemently opposed to Labrador’s effort to hand over federal lands to state or local control to be exploited for short-term gains.
