KAHN: Many attributes

Kathy Kahn is a longtime North Idaho teacher who is also a military mom. Her husband served in the Navy as does their son. Kathy knows that the military has become technical and sophisticated. Our modern day service requires educated and well-trained personnel.

Kathy comes from a family of North Idaho loggers and miners. She has seen how the lumber industry has also changed. Technology has revised how saw mills and mines operate, and the new operation requires workers to have new and modern skills and knowledge. That is why she is a strong supporter of education for those going into today’s military and labor force.

Business Week published an article stating that the best thing we can do for our kids in today’s world is to give them the best education we can. Kathy Kahn knows this, and she knows that her son would not be a pilot in the Navy, and now NASA, without a good education.

Kathy wants to make sure that other Idaho youth have the same chance to excel in their future. She knows that we must fund education in Idaho at an adequate level for our children to succeed in all areas: academic, technical, military and service.

Kathy and her family know the meaning of service on behalf of others. That is why we need people like her in our Legislature. I hope you will vote for the longtime resident of North Idaho, Kathy Kahn for Legislative District 2 A.
