HAYDEN — If you've recently worked on a project in Hayden, city staff wants to hear from you.

The city of Hayden recently launched a building, planning and public works processes survey that is now available on www.cityofhaydenid.us. The purpose of the survey is to receive feedback from the public about its experiences working with the city in these areas.

"We want people going through our processes to have a positive experience,” said Hayden city administrator Brett Boyer. "And if there’s something like a code section that doesn’t make sense, we want their input on that. If they say, ‘Look, I’m required to do this, but it makes no sense,’ we want to know about it."

The survey includes questions about the process, satisfaction working with city staff, helpfulness of service representatives and other "how are we doing?" questions. Comment boxes are provided to discuss what went well and where the city can improve.

This is not an anonymous survey and requires an individual's name or company name. It will go directly to Boyer.

“We’re hoping we’ll get good responses, but there might be something we have to work on,” he said. "It's just part of our overall process to try to get better in our service.

"We want to know how we’re doing," he continued. "Without asking people and getting feedback, we’re not going to know."

To access the survey, go to the website and click on the "Survey on Building, Planning and Publics Works Processes" quick link. Paper copies are also available at Hayden City Hall.

For those who are not in a planning, zoning or building process but want to share their experiences with city staff, general surveys are available at the front desk.
