Lester Wray 'Les' Holecek, 49

Les Holecek, loving husband, and father of two, was born Feb. 3, 1967, to Wayne and Sherelyn Holecek.

Les was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and enjoyed camping, fishing, shooting guns and hunting. He loved animals — especially his cat, Cheech, and loved NASCAR, and ’80s music.

Les was the kind of person that could always make anyone smile or laugh when you were around him. Even though Les was an amazing person, he had his battles and addictions, unfortunately we lost Les to a long battle of alcohol addiction and mental health issues. We will love and miss you forever.

Les is preceded in death by his uncles, Bill and Terry Timmons; and all his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Carey Holecek; daughter Ashley Howerton and husband Jon Howerton, granddaughter Ashtyn Howerton; son Jake Holecek; parents Wayne and Sherelyn Holecek; brother Wade Holecek and wife Chris; brother John Holecek and wife Tina; sister-in-law Rhonda Wheelock; nephews Jamie, Jesse and Jordan; and nieces Kendra and Rahael.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
