VETERANS: A dinner salute

Hats Off to Matt Johnson and to Virginia and Graydon Johnson for organizing and catering the Veterans Dinner at the Meadowbrook Grange on May 11. From the two World War II veterans to recent Iraq/Afghanistan vets, we all had a wonderful evening of fellowship, camaraderie and renewal of acquaintances. Matt: We look forward to the next event (Nov. 11?) on Armistice Day. Thanks for all your efforts honoring those who served and those who remained behind. A salute to Grandpa Clarence Johnson who served in World War I after sustaining a training injury at Ft. Lewis, Wash.
