Cynthia Sue Powers Angelo, 64

Cynthia Sue Powers Angelo, 64, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2016, at Hospice House of North Idaho.

She was born May 10, 1952, in Coeur d’Alene to Carol D. Olson (Petris) and Ray W. Powers. She grew up in the Coeur d’Alene and Bayview area. She graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School and Eastern Washington University with a journalism degree.

In 1981, she married Patrick Angelo, they resided in the Spokane area until Patrick’s passing. “Cindy” as most everyone called her, traveled to different places living and enjoying her life as a free bird. She was a kind soul who loved to be around people and tell stories of her travels. She was artistic and spent a lot of time painting, drawing and making things. Cindy’s quick wit, charm and laughter will be missed by all who knew her.

Cynthia is survived by her two sisters, Pam Powers (Coeur d’Alene) and Maria Petris (Hayden); and one brother, Michael Powers (Idaho Falls).

A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice House of North Idaho.
