ATTACK: A nuclear nightmare

| May 20, 2016 9:00 PM

News Flash!

North Korea has just unleashed a nuclear attack against the United States homeland — thousands are dead — what to do — how to retaliate?!

Following are the immediate thoughts and responses (in my personal opinion) from a variety of liberal politicians:

Hillary Clinton — “Bill, Bill, where are you when I need you most? You promised to be home early. You are so good at taking credit for the accomplishments of others and giving the blame to others for your screw ups. North Korea does fall under my foreign policy achievements. Oh well, ‘What difference does it make?!’ Would someone get Susan Rice on the phone? (Susan Rice was the National Security Adviser at the time of the Benghazi attack and is presently the U.N. Ambassador) Yes, yes, wake her up.”

John Kerry — “Darn, I should have taken Kim Jong Un at his word. Why did this have to happen on my watch? Maybe if I protest loud enough they will promise not to do it again. Or I could involve the U.N. But wait, we deceived the folks so well on Benghazi that it got Barack re-elected. Quick, get Susan Rice on the phone!! What? Her line is busy at 2 am!? Keep trying.”

Bernie Sanders — “Let’s not overreact. After all, this is what we get for putting sanctions on them. We could have just given them South Korea and they would have been perfectly happy and content. But wait, this is not really my problem. Let Hillary and Barack handle it! For sure, if I were in their shoes, my first phone call would be to Susan Rice!”

President Barack Hussein Obama — “Oops, this is not good for my legacy. Leading from behind is not working out so well. Don’t all of these countries know by now that I’m for peace at any cost? Just a few more months and Hillary or Trump would have to deal with it. Darn! Can I blame it on Bush? No, 7 ½ years is really a stretch, even for me. Did I overdo my ‘It’s America’s fault’ rhetoric?! Maybe I should have given half of that 150 billion to North Korea instead of all of it to Iran? Now it’s too late. Darn! Why oh why did I just tell the American people that man-made global warning is the most serious threat to our nation? Darn!”

‘‘Mr. President, the nation and the world are waiting for your response.’

“OK, OK, but first, call Reverend Al Sharpton and Reverend Jeremiah Wright. I need some quality spiritual guidance from my mentors, and Michelle, call Susan Rice, fast!”

End of story, for now.
