Lindsie Scholwinski

Southern softball

Scholwinski, a junior from Coeur d’Alene High, led the Sun Conference in opponent batting average (.201), innings pitched (215), strikeouts (248), hits allowed per game (5.14) and wins (27). She was also the national leader in wins, and was 11-1 with a 1.53 earned run average in 13 conference games.

Jordan Ward

Boise State track and field

Ward, a junior from Lakeland High in Rathdrum, was named to the All-Mountain West Conference Track and Field team, the conference announced on Monday. Ward tied for third in the high jump with a mark of 5-8.

Matthew Bauman

Idaho track and field

Bauman, a redshirt freshman from Post Falls High, advanced to the finals of the men’s hammer throw with a personal high of 174 feet, 10 inches during the Big Sky Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 14 at the campus of the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo. He also competed in the discus, finishing 15th with a throw of 143-7.

Kinsey Gomez

Idaho track and field

Gomez, a senior from Coeur d’Alene High, finished second in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:41.85, earning All-Big Sky Conference honors at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships in Greeley, Colo.
