Loretta Pauline Brueher, 94
Loretta Pauline Brueher, 94, a longtime native of Coeur d’Alene, passed away May 13, 2016.
Loretta was born May 5, 1922, to Howard and Elsie Ely in Coeur d’Alene. She attended Coeur d’Alene schools, graduating in 1939. Loretta married Donald L. Brueher in 1939 and together the couple had four children.
Loretta enjoyed her family and friends very much. Loretta worked many years in local restaurants, including the Boots and Saddle seven years, Sargent’s seven years, and finally the Hayden Lake Country Club for 17 years before her retirement. She also volunteered for the Senior Center and Hospice Thrift Store. Loretta also enjoyed playing pinochle at the Senior Center.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; one sister; her husband, Don of 50 years; her grandson, Eddie Russell; granddaughter Kathryn (Thom) Allan; great-grandson Bradley James Allan and son-in-law Donald J. Thom.
Loretta is survived by her sons, Ronald Brueher and wife Nancy of St. Maries, and Donald Brueher and wife Patty of Rathdrum; daughters June (Brueher) Thom of Hayden, and Janet (Brueher) Russell and husband Ed of Hayden; five grandsons and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation/viewing will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, with a graveside service to follow at 11 a.m. at Forest Cemetery, 1001 Government Way, Coeur d’Alene.
