PREP ROUNDUP: Charter girls win district title

KAMIAH — The Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy girls, in their final year before moving up to the 3A classification, won the 2A District 1-2 track championship on Saturday afternoon at Kamiah High.

Paige Little won both the 1,600- and 3,200-meter run for the Panthers, who beat Orofino by 13 points for the title.

The top two finishers and winning relays advance to the state track and field meet next Friday and Saturday at Middleton High.

Landon Chang won the 1,600 and 3,200 for the Coeur d’Alene Charter boys.

COEUR d’ALENE — Cameron Chun scored four goals, and Danny Torres had two goals and three assists for Lake City in its regular season finale.

Lake City plays host to Coeur d’Alene on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in a matchup of the top two North Idaho finishers in the Idaho Lacrosse League. The winner will travel to the Boise area for a state semifinal on Saturday, with that winner advancing to the state championship game in the Boise area the following Saturday.
