STEWART: Dedicated servant

My wife and I have known David Stewart for about 15 years. He is the most dedicated, hardworking commissioner we have known. We wondered why he would want to get into politics but we now understand that it is because he felt he could do positive things for the people of Kootenai County, and he HAS.

He has worked hard to resolve problems with the airport, sheriff’s department, county employee morale, outstanding litigation facing the County when he became a commissioner, Unified Land Use Code, etc. He has also proposed a one-time 12% property tax credit but it was voted down as he is only one vote. He would like to revisit this in the future with a new board.

We would eagerly recommend that David be re-elected as Kootenai County Commissioner of District 2 so that he can continue this good work. He is, BY FAR, the best man for the job.
