RIGGS: Represents hope for future

Peter Riggs is conservative. But he is far more than that. He is principled, articulate, logical, and a good thinker. He is pro-business, pro-education and pro-family. He is also pro-economy. He knows that without a good balance of all of these, the very foundation of our American society will crumble.

In an era when our country seems to be headed in the wrong direction, he stands for smaller less-intrusive government, lower taxes, greater individual liberty, security of our borders, freedom from federal oppression, states’ rights, and your right to keep and bear arms.

Peter lives on a ranch in District 3, goes to church, is married, and has two beautiful sons. He has a college degree and MBA from the University of Idaho. He is passionate about this area because he is a fourth generation North Idahoan with many family ties.

He is not too young, but unlike his opponent, he is not a twice-retired senior citizen on government pensions who just moved here. Peter is still in the fray of life – that daily struggle to grow a business and protect a family and build a safe and generous community.

I know all this because Peter Riggs is my son. Peter was with me when I first ran for the State Senate and was with me later when I became Lt. Governor of Idaho. And now we work together.
