| May 12, 2016 9:00 PM

Della (McMahill) Graves passed away on May 10, 2016, in Spokane, Wash. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2016, at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Della was born in Coeur d’Alene on Jan. 18, 1924, to Ralph and Gladys McMahill. She graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1942. She married Harry ‘Bud’ Graves on Nov. 21, 1942, and followed him throughout his Air Force career to Germany and 11 states, finally landing in Alaska where they spent 13 years. During their stay in Alaska, Della and Bud pursued their passion for antiques by opening the Black Eagle Antique shop. They moved to Oak Harbor, Wash., in 1978, and after 14 years of waterfront living, moved to Spokane. Della was a member of Eastern Star, was an avid reader (nearly one book per day) and loved to travel. No one was more important than her family — her husband, daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Della is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Graves; her sister, Dorothy Kvasnicka; and parents Ralph and Gladys McMahill. She is survived by her daughters, Judy (John) Dailey and Kathy (Howard) Knaggs; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Evergreen Fountains and Hospice House — South who provided incredible care and friendship throughout the past six years.
