Don B. Moormann, 84

Don B. Moormann, 84, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on May 4, 2016.

Don was born in Torrance, Calif., on Jan. 9, 1932, to Henry and Mary (Beste) Moormann. He was raised in Torrance and moved to Great Falls, Mont., when he was a freshmen in high school. Don graduated in 1951 from Great Falls High School and then moved to the Coeur d’Alene area.

Don married Vikki Lynch on May 29, 1976, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene.

He worked for Idaho Forest Industries and then Stimson Lumber, retiring in 1990.

Don was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene and life time member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed reading and building model airplanes.

He is survived by his wife, Vikki of Coeur d’Alene; son and daughter-in-law Ryen and Annette Moormann of Coeur d’Alene; grandchildren Kayla, Kendall and Kelsey Best; sisters Evelyn Montreuil of Post Falls, Idaho, and Pat Rossmiller of Colfax, Wash.

Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Inurnment will follow the service at St. Thomas Cemetery, 115 S. 23rd St., Coeur d’Alene. Reception will follow the graveside ceremony at St. Thomas Parish Center, 406 N. 10th, Coeur d’Alene.
