ANNIVERSARY
Elmer and Bernadine Currie
75th Anniversary
Elmer and Bernadine (Boucher) Currie, of Coeur d’Alene, are celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary. They were married May 11, 1941, in Montana.
Elmer worked as a contractor for Currie Building Center and is a former Kootenai County commissioner. Bernadine was a business partner in Currie Building Center with Elmer. They are both retired.
Their children are Ted (Vickie) Currie of Dallas, Texas, Beverly (Bruce Oliver) of Post Falls, Rick (Vicki) Currie of Coeur d’Alene, David Currie of Post Falls, Holly (Lynn) Roberts of Floyd, Va., Tammy (Roger) Farkes of Edmonton, Alberta, and Tori Currie of Post Falls. They have 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
They will enjoy a private celebration with their family.
ENGAGEMENT
Canfield-Braun
Amy Canfield to wed Mr. Jacob Braun.
The proposal occurred on Monday, April 25, 2016, at Tubbs Hill in Coeur d’Alene.
Amy is the daughter of Richard and Kathy Canfield of Boise. She is a front desk agent at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn and she is currently finishing her associate’s degree in English at North Idaho College.
Jacob is the son of Scott and Jo Braun of Coeur d’Alene. He is also a student at North Idaho College and shall be continuing his Information technology degree at Boise State University in the fall.
The two lovebirds met in geology class and have been inseparable ever since. They wish to announce that the wedding will be held in the summer of 2017.
WEDDING
Zasadny-Morton
Taylor Marie Zasadny and Ross Paul Morton were united in marriage on April 16, 2016, at the Sandpoint Events Center. Rev. Stuart Bryan officiated the ceremony.
Taylor is the daughter of Allen and Valerie Zasadny. She was given in marriage by her father. Ross is the son of Paul and Patsy Morton. Ross is a credit analyst at Mountain West Bank.
The wedding party included: maid of honor Victoria Zasadny and best man Kevin Rodland, both of Coeur d’Alene. Music for the ceremony was provided by Taylor’s brother, Aaron Zasadny.
The couple honeymooned in Leavenworth, Wash. They reside in Coeur d’Alene.
BIRTHS
Donald (Donny) Ray Walker III was born April 28, 2016, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene to Amie (Scheitel) and Donald Walker of St. Maries. He weighed 8 pounds. Siblings are Taila Scheitel, 15, Cole Scheitel, 13, Italey Scheitel, 10, and David Brown, 7. Maternal grandparents are Donald Scheitel of Larimore, N.D., and Tammy Peckham of Grants Pass, Ore. Paternal grandparents are Donald Walker of Wisdom, Mont., and Cindy Atchison of Augusta, Mont. Great-grandparents are Sharon Peckham of Grants Pass, the late Benjamin Allum of Choteau, Mont., and the late Monte and Zola Walker of Stevensville, Mont.
Atticus Grey Hansen was born April, 24, 2016, to Clint and Jessica Hansen. He weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces. Welcomed by big brother and sister Andreus and Keilie, grandparents Tom and Sheila Stafford, also Ida Johnson, and great-grandparents Ray and Jean Hansen.
