AMADOR: For a better future

| May 6, 2016 9:00 PM

As a parent of two children in the Coeur d’Alene School District and an educator in the district tasked with supporting teachers, I recognize the role of education in supporting a bright and positive future for Coeur d’Alene. I want the best for my children, their friends, and for our community. This legislative session, I urge constituents to look past rhetoric from candidates who claim they are education supporters and seek true advocates of education on the ballot. Kathy Sims claims that she supports education, but has voted “NO” on numerous education bills, including the teacher career ladder (HB 571) and children’s reading programs (HB 647). We need an advocate for our children in the legislature. We need Paul Amador to represent all people of Coeur d’Alene — he is a strong supporter of a diverse educational system, has worked with and listened to educators, and is truly focused on improving the lives of citizens in Kootenai County. Paul is also fiscally responsible and will ensure that all funds are allocated appropriately to do the most good for our community. On May 17, vote for Paul Amador for House Seat 4B to support our kids and our future in Coeur d’Alene.
