VOTE: For these candidates

| May 4, 2016 9:00 PM

After attending numerous candidate debates and forums, I believe the choices for Legislative District 4 are clear. After the debate between Rep. Sims and challenger Mr. Amador, Mr. Amador favored “Urban Renewal.” This made up my mind. Rep Sims must be re-elected. As we all know, our Urban Renewal board must listen to the voters. As for the other legislative seat between Rep. Malek and Mr. Macomber, we all know that Rep. Malek has done many good things for our state. Just ask any fireman! Mr. Macomber keeps saying that we should get the federal money out of Idaho and replace it with growth. Mr. Macomber is an ideologue and will hit a brick wall in Boise. I do believe experience counts and Rep. Malek should be re-elected.

As for the county commissioner for District 2 race, David Stewart has shown dishonesty once again. First the scandal at Athol with the builder giving him a campaign donation and in today’s paper, his avoiding paying property taxes by living in a pole building. This has to stop. Mr Fillios has been a very good commissioner for the East Side Highway District and I know he will make a terrific county commissioner. As for county sheriff, I hope all of you remember the debate forum between the sheriff candidates four years ago. If you do, you know that Sheriff Wolfinger is the ONLY choice. Also, Duane Rasmussen’s education and background in law would make him a good county commissioner.
