Nolan, Jay top derby standings
SANDPOINT — Calvin Nolan and John Jay are the presumptive adult winners of the Lake Pend Oreille Idaho Club’s annual spring derby.
Nolan hauled in a 18.64-pound rainbow trout that best the second-place finisher by nearly a pound. Jay, meanwhile, boated an 18.98-pound lake trout to lead the Mackinaw standings.
The official results are expected to be finalized today.
Ryan Johnson led the junior division with a 13-pounder. Patrick Elmore led the Youth A standings with a 12-pounder, while Clair Belgarde headed up the Youth B standings a 10-pound catch.
