John Brown Elementary science fair winners announced

RATHDRUM — Students at John Brown Elementary School in Rathdrum participated in the school's annual science fair April 13-15. Lakeland High School biology teacher Janine Williams' students served as judges. The science fair received 85 entries.

Here is the list of the winning participants and the honors they received:

Best of show — Kierstan Sawley

Kindergarten through first grade:

Super scientist — Jacob Ferguson

First place — Garrett Hall

Second place — Mary Horton

Third place — Aryana Fielder

Fourth and fifth grades:

Super scientists — Alaina Rex, Hailey Wear, Shelby Wear

First place — Kierra Ells, Lila Kiefer

Second place — Olivia Carrel, Destiny Hieronymus

Third place —Elliott Andreassen, Katelynn Bartram, Lincoln Nichols
