Now for the Tidbits

• Watch for news on Benjamin Powell Galleries downtown, 777 Take-n-Bake Pizza on Best Avenue, Electric Gentlemen in the Plaza Shops, G.I. Java Coffee House on Fourth Street and Empire Eye, Advanced Health Care (across from Red Robin) Grille From Ipanema and Anthony’s Restaurant in Riverstone.

• Other new places coming include Terre Coffee & Bakery on Northwest Boulevard, Monet Floors & Home Design moving on Government Way, Panera Bread and Hayden Medical Plaza & Clinics in Hayden and Cracker Barrel and Orban Family Dental near Winco.

• The grand opening for Five-Star Bath Solutions is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 311 E. Coeur d’Alene Ave. Catering is by Drummin’ Up BBQ.

• Too many people who don’t really need handicapped parking fill the spaces and prevent those who really need them from using them. The places marked “van only” are for people in wheelchairs who must exit their vehicles from the side.

• I don’t remember being absent-minded.

• A real headline: “Rangers get whiff of Colon.”
