ART: Adding to burden

This isn’t making sense. The city of Hayden spent $58,233.46 plus another $24,154.00 for a piece of art in front of Hayden Library. The next day in the Press, libraries in the Community Library Network (Athol, Spirit Lake, Post Falls, Hayden and Harrison) are now asking for a $5 million levy for upgrades? Instead of spending money on “art,” why didn’t they spend the money on road repairs? Another example of wasteful spending of taxpayers’ money.
