Get crackin' and find some Easter eggs this weekend
Grab a basket and go to one of the many egg hunts happening Saturday and Sunday throughout the area.
SATURDAY
• Easter Egg Hunt - 8 a.m. | Grocery Outlet, 410 Neider Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Facepainting, noon-2 p.m.
• McEuen Park - 10 a.m. | Downtown Coeur d’Alene, hosted by Real Life Ministries. Traditional egg hunt for children up to fifth grade. Includes a designated special needs area.
• Coeur d’Alene Assembly Church - 10 a.m. | Borah Elementary, 632 E. Borah Ave., Coeur d’Alene. 17th annual Candy Hunt starts at 11. Face painting, inflatables, barbecue.
• Community Easter Egg Hunt - 10 a.m. | Majestic Park, 5400 W. Majestic Ave., Rathdrum. Hosted by the city of Rathdrum and the Rathdrum American Legion. Ages 4 and younger, 5-7, 8-10, 11-12. Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance and the Rathdrum Police Department will be doing fingerprinting for children.
• Cd’A Church of the Nazarene Eggstravaganza - 10:30 a.m. | 4000 N. Fourth St. More than 10,000 eggs, prizes, jump houses, games. 667-3543.
• Easter Eggstravaganza - 11 a.m. | Two locations - Fernan Elementary, 520 N. 21st., Coeur d’Alene and Prairie Avenue community churches, 3639 W. Prairie Ave., Hayden. Events begin at 11 and the hunt at noon, for kids through fifth grade, hosted by Hayden Community Church and Prairie Avenue Community Church. Eight bikes and helmets will be given away at each location. Lunch, live music.
• Traditional Egg Hunt, Real Life Ministries, Post Falls campus - 5:30 p.m. | 1866 N. Cecil Road, east lawn for children up to fifth grade.
• Flashlight Egg Hunt, Real Life Ministries, Post Falls campus - 8 p.m. | 1866 N. Cecil Road, east lawn. Bring your own flashlight. For children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
• Community United Methodist Church - 8 p.m. | corner of Hanley Avenue and Ramsey Road, Coeur d’Alene. After-dark flashlight hunt, kids of all ages invited, bring basket and flashlight, 765-8800.
SUNDAY
• Trinity Lutheran Church - 10:30 a.m. | 812 N. Fifth St., Coeur d’Alene. For children through fifth grade. Meet at the church entrance on Reid Avenue. Bring your basket.
• Community Egg Hunt - 1 p.m. | Coeur d’Alene City Park, downtown Coeur d’Alene. About 7,000 eggs, prizes. Organized by North Idaho Men’s Rugby Club. Early arrival 10 minutes prior to hunt is recommended.
