Lewis-Clark State basketball
Orlandi, a 5-9 junior guard from Coeur d’Alene High, was named an honorable mention to the All-American team by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. Orlandi was one of 30 players from the NAIA ranks honored by the WBCA. She is averaging 12.7 points and 6.06 assists per game while shooting nearly 46 percent from the field. She also leads the team with 52 steals. On Tuesday, Orlandi was named an NAIA Scholar Athlete after maintaining a 3.5 GPA and achieving a junior acdemic status. Orlandi was selected to the All-NAIA Tournament second team after finishing with a tournament-high 25 assists in three games, averaging 8.33 per game. She led the Warriors with 41 points, averaging 13.67 per game while shooting nearly 40 percent from the field. “I thought in all three games, we had the best player on the floor,” Lewis-Clark State coach Brian Orr said of Orlandi. “She didn’t always play her best, but she had an outstanding performance and I know she’s capable of playing even better, that’s the exciting thing about it.” Orlandi finishes the season leading the nation in assists with 200, the third best mark in program history. Lewis-Clark State finished 27-7.
Erin Legel
Great Falls basketball
Legel, a 5-5 senior guard from Coeur d’Alene High, was named to the NAIA Tournament first team after helping the Argos to an appearance in the Elite Eight. Legel scored 60 points in the Argos three games at nationals, scoring 28 points in the team’s opening win over Central Methodist (Mo.) on March 24. She finished the season sixth in the nation in total points (559) and free throw percentage (146 for 170 85.9). Great Falls finished the season 24-11.
Allison Meehan
San Jose State beach volleyball
Meehan, a 5-9 senior from Post Falls High and North Idaho College, is 9-3 with her partner Jamie Hirai this season. As the No. 3 team, the duo is 9-2 and as the No. 2, they are 0-2. Beach volleyball consists of five matches, No. 1-5, best of three with the first two games to 21 and the third to 15 points. At the opening tournament of the season, Meehan/Hirai beat Stanford’s Catherine Raquel/Haley Hodson 21-17, 21-19. Hodson was the No. 1 indoor recruit in the nation and was named the AVCA freshman of the year. Meehan was a two-year starting setter for San Jose State’s indoor team, finishing her two-year career with 1,432 assists and finished the season with 13 wins, the most by the program since 2012.

Litalien, a 5-foot-7 junior guard from Post Falls High, was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete on Tuesday. In order to qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
