Phillip H. Gartleman, 82

Phillip Herman Gartleman, 82, of Post Falls, Idaho, was born May 27, 1933, in Portland, Ore. Phil passed away March 17, 2016, in Post Falls.

Phil was a member of the U.S. Air Force and fought in the Korean War. A house painter by trade, Phil also had an artistic flair…creating countless saw blades and many murals.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of Post Falls; two sons, James Gartleman and Matthew Gartleman, both of Wichita, Kan.; one daughter, Renee L. (Gartleman) Morton of Moore, Okla.; one stepson; one stepdaughter; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Dee Gartleman and Mark Gartleman; two daughters, Cindy Gartleman and Stacey Gartleman; two stepsons and three stepdaughters.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 23, 2016, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.
