• NJCAA MEN’S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Tournament Most Valuable Player Conner Toolson scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Salt Lake Bruins past the Hutchinson Blue Dragons 74-64 in the NJCAA championship game on Saturday night at the Hutchinson Events Center.

Baker 71, Lewis-Clark State 52: At Independence, Mo., former Coeur d’Alene High standout Caelyn Orlandi had a game-high 21 points for the Warriors in a loss to Baker University (Kan.) in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Championships at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
Lewis-Clark State finishes 27-7.
Pikeville 75, Great Falls 68: At Independence, Mo., former Coeur d’Alene High standout Erin Legel scored 15 points for the Argos in a loss to the University of Pikeville in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Championships at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
Great Falls finishes 24-11, tying the most wins in program history, as well as the team’s deepest run at nationals.
Pikeville (Ky.) will face MidAmerican Nazarene (30-5) in the national semifinals on Monday.
