RALLY: It was done correctly

Thank you to all the volunteers for Ted Cruz Rally at the Fairgrounds. Many more supporters attended the rally than we imagined, and the volunteers adapted to changing situations. We so greatly appreciated the respectful and supportive manner of people not getting in doors. The fact that you stood in the rain to support Ted Cruz was a testament to your character and commitment. I will tell you personally that Senator Ted Cruz was so very impressed by each one of you for being involved in the election process.

I have had many parents tell me that Senator Cruz’s rally sparked interest among the youth attending, and believe it will have a lifetime effect. Thank you to the sheriff’s department for rising to the occasion by providing escort service to the event. As we found out the following day, with the shooting of Pastor Remington, it is better to be safe than sorry.

We appreciate the help of citizens creating interest among their friends and family for the event. We respectfully recognize the pastors who came to meet the senator and discovered the man behind the words. Final thanks goes to the NWPOA and the Kootenai County Fairgrounds for helping to accommodate the event.

We only can wish that more national leaders and candidates come to understand that North Idaho is not “fly over” country to be ignored on their way to Washington or California. Finally, thank you Ted Cruz for honoring us with your visit. It will long be remembered by young and old.
