Althea Selvig, 93

Althea Selvig, 93, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away March 11, 2016, in Coeur d’Alene. She was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Rolette, N.D., to Andrew and Anna Augusta (Olson) Johnson.

Althea graduated high school in Rolette, N.D., in 1939. On Oct. 17, 1942, she married Bennie Selvig in Sydney, Mont. They came to Coeur d’Alene in 1971. Althea worked for The Hagadone Corporation for 27 years. She loved to go dancing with Bennie, play bingo, and was an accomplished musician on the organ and accordion.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Andreana and Lester Hagen of Coeur d’Alene; grandchildren Kevin and Kelly Hagen of Hayden, Idaho, and Lisa and Peter Job of Coeur d’Alene; great-grandchildren Travis, Jacob, Kayla, Krista, Kara and Alexandra; also two great-great-grandchildren, Bailey and Ezra.

Althea is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie; sister Florence Johnson; and brothers Clarence and Steve Johnson.
