THANKS: Angel feeds Angels

On Feb. 12 I had taken a group of senior citizens who reside at my facility out for breakfast at a local restaurant (Denny’s). As always the service there is extraordinary and the waitstaff are stellar examples of customer service. But what I am intending for this letter to address is an unknown “Angel,” so-to-speak.

It was at the end of our meal, when I would normally be totaling tickets, that I was informed that someone had picked up the bill for our entire group! At first I thought it was a joke; why would a stranger pay for the meals of 15 senior citizens and two staff members of an assisted living facility? But much to our group’s delight, this stranger did just that.

While we were never able to get your name, those of us who ate there that morning, as well as the rest of us here at Guardian Angel Homes, wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation of your gesture! Thank you! You made the residents’ day and it is surely a memory that they will hold onto for quite some time. The entire experience just reaffirms my faith in our community and in humanity. Thank you again from the Activities Department at Guardian Angel Homes!
