ROMNEY: Not to the rescue
So now comes Mitt Romney to try to straighten out the train wreck of the Republican Party with Donald Trump at the center of the three mud slingers, or is Mitt Romney trying to create an opening for his own nomination for the candidacy? After all, he didn’t want to back anyone. It would seem Mr. Romney is part of the problem a lot of us are trying to get away from in Washington, D.C., too much government representing only the wealthy.
I have seen a couple of letters to the editor supporting Ted Cruz. Cruz read Dr. Seuss before Congress in his failed attempt to deter Obamacare while costing the economy a reported $24 billion with the shutdown of the government in October 2013. Ted Cruz is not a negotiator; he is no Ronald Regan.
Marco Rubio is gasping for air and doesn’t seem to have any more maturity than the candidates he is trying to malign. Marco Rubio should get out of the race.
The election process is too long and too expensive for an honest person to get elected. With Mitt Romney further driving a wedge, further dividing the Republican Party, I fear he will help Hillary Clinton’s election and maybe that will finally unify the Republican Party.
