ROTARY: Evil, my foot

| March 9, 2016 8:00 PM

In reference to Esequiel Vasquez’ letter, calling “Rotary: In a word, evil,” something needs to be said.

To call the International Rotary Club evil is the height of ridiculous. Rotary’s worldwide charitable goals, as well as local clubs’ charities, using prayer to open all their meetings, relying on “God’s true charity” (sic), for help with their “human endeavors” could hardly be termed “intrinsically evil.” To say Rotary’s goal is “to establish a brotherhood of man without the Fatherhood of God” is ridiculous. It’s a completely false assumption. The good works of Rotary worldwide, including such as the nearly achieved goal of eradicating polio are obvious.

Furthermore, Rotary is not a Masonic institution.
