| March 6, 2016 8:00 PM

Went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 29, 2016, after sustaining an injury while doing what she loved best, horseback riding. Patti was born in Van Nuys, Calif., and raised in the San Fernando Valley.

Patti was a strong influence in the lives of everyone she met. She loved Jesus and it was evident in everything she did. She enjoyed living on their property in Medimont, and loved riding in the mountains near their home. Patti was a charter member of the River of Life Church and the secretary there for 10 years. She enjoyed participating in Bible studies and loved her church family. She was also an auxiliary member of Shoshone County Fire District No. 2.

She loved animals and teaching children to ride. Patti was instrumental in developing the Running W Therapeutic Riding Center located at 6147 Harvest Road, Rathdrum, ID 83858. A nonprofit program providing equine therapy for young and old alike. Her favorite horse “Bugs,” will be donated to the program and used as a therapy horse bringing lots of smiles to special people. The family asks that any donations be made to the address above, in Patti’s name.

Patti is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Gary Mitchell; her mother, Kay Moody and Bud Crabb; sister Laurie (Bill) Ornelaz, their daughter Tara (Kevin) White and sons, Cody, Jonas and William; brother Robert Moody and sons, Sam and Charlie; mother-in-law Helen Mitchell; in-laws Gail (Troy) Turley, Gwen (Kenneth) Locke, Holly (Scott) McNee and their families; numerous friends and extended family.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1700 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The family wishes to thank everyone for their loving prayers and support during this difficult time.
