KUDOS: Great fifth-graders

In May the Fairgrounds welcomed 752 students from the Lakeland and Post Falls school districts from the fifth grade to participate in the Farm to Table Program. I wish to compliment the students on their behavior.

I was one of the hundred volunteers and was pleased at how polite they were. There were “please” and “thank you” for everything. They were careful to put their garbage in the cans and observed the rules. Students were taught about the food they eat and how farming works. The comments the volunteers heard were so positive. Students really enjoyed the interaction with the animals from pigs to bees.
