Palenda Irene Tidwell, 89

| July 31, 2016 9:00 PM

Our Mother was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada, April 12, 1927. She passed away peacefully at Hospice of North Idaho, on Saturday morning, July 30.

She lived the last 10 years here in Coeur d’Alene with her daughter Pam Nilson. Irene lost her husband John nine years ago. Because he was the love of her life, she missed him every day. John was also cared for by Hospice of North Idaho before his death. What an incredible organization that takes such good care of our families during these tough times. God bless Hospice.

Irene had five children and total of 84 grand, great and great-great grandchildren. At the age of 89 she could still tell you their names and birthdays of each child. She was the gold standard of loving and caring for her whole family.

Irene was one of the sweetest ladies to walk this earth. She loved deeper and more than anyone you have ever seen. She worshipped her grandkids and her grandkids worshipped her. When you say what she loved the most, it would have to include: Her family, her children, her grandchildren and her friends. She also loved a daily diet of a little chocolate candy and of course her pastries, donuts and coffee.

She was what held the Tidwell family together. She is survived by her children, Sue, John, Bob, Pam (Nilson) and Maryanne. After her death the whole family will come together to celebrate a life well done. God bless Irene.
