HEROES: Look what you did

| July 31, 2016 9:00 PM

Judge Hayes, Marcy Black, Travis Johnson, Detective Justin Bangs:

I know that you guys rarely to never get any type of positive feedback. I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help and hard work in getting my daughter back on track. Even though I know ultimately the choice is hers.

My daughter did not make good choices up in Kootenai County for almost six years. Dec. 3, 2014, was the best day of my life. My daughter was picked up and finally had to pay the price for the bad choices she continued to make. Judge Hayes, you sent my daughter to IDOC on the Rider Program.

She graduated that program and was released on June 5, 2015. I removed her from Kootenai County upon release to Central Oregon.

In the last year, she has retained gainful employment and has climbed up that corporate ladder. She is currently Lead Server and is training to be Captain for the banquet department for the Sunriver Destination Resort in Sunriver, Ore. She was just nominated for Employee of the Month for Banquets.

She has paid off all her fines for Kootenai County and is currently working on paying back the companies that she hurt during her time of extreme addiction. She has successfully completed and received her GED as required and set as part of her probation. She has an amazing boyfriend who loves her son as his own. He treats my daughter like the princess I think she is. They just bought a new car and are just doing absolutely amazing.

I feel that because of what you have done, I have my daughter back and my grandson has his momma back. I would like to personally thank from the bottom of my heart the following people:

Judge Hayes

Marcy Black, Probation/Parole

Travis Johnson, Probation/Parole

Detective Justin Bangs, Coeur d’Alene Police Department

Hopefully someday you guys will get the opportunity to see what an awesome person she is. Her bad choices made her a bad person. Addiction is a terrible disease not only for the addict but for the family.

I can never thank you enough.

KIM JOHNSON

Bend, Ore.

(Formerly Coeur d’Alene)
