Is your child's car seat safe? Free exams Aug. 6

HAYDEN — A free car seat safety examination event is taking place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 6 at Panhandle Health District, 8500 N. Atlas Road in Hayden.

The Kootenai Car Seat Safety event, presented by Kootenai Health, Safe Kids Kootenai County and PHD, welcomes drivers to bring their children and car seats to ensure the seats are installed correctly. Car seat specialists will be conducting the exams.

A limited number of car seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

No appointment is necessary.
