Indians top Tri-City

SPOKANE — Travis Bolin hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the second inning to spark the Spokane offense in a 7-5 win over the Tri-City Dust Devils in Northwest League baseball at Avista Stadium on Wednesday.

Tri-City rallied to score three runs in the top of the ninth, but had Spokane reliever Kaleb Fontenot get the final two outs to secure the win.

Stephen Lohr hit a two-run homer in the fourth for Spokane (21-19), which finished 4 for 8 with runners in scoring position.

Buddy Reed and Chris Baker drove in two runs each for Tri-City (19-21).

The teams conclude the three-game series tonight at 6:30.
