<p>Courtesy photo</p><p>The Northwest Premier 18-and-under baseball team won the championship in the 19U Dan Lawson Memorial Tournament in Calgary. After ending the first game in a 13-13 tie with a hard-hitting team from the North, the Premier went undefeated through pool play and played them again in the championship game, winning 11-10. ASA SOFTBALL

DryIce tryouts: Tryouts for the DryIce 10-and-under and 14U teams for the 2016-17 season are scheduled for Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. at Finucane Park in Hayden.

Tryouts for the 12U team is scheduled to follow at 7 p.m.

Another tryout for all three teams is scheduled for Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. at Finucane Park.

Tryout fee is $100.

FOOTBALL

Coeur d’Alene Junior Tackle Camp: The Coeur d’Alene High Viking football program, in association with the Viking Touchdown Club and the Viking Booster Club, is putting on a free camp for Coeur d’Alene Junior Tackle players entering grades 5-8.

The camp is scheduled for Aug. 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to noon each day at Coeur d’Alene High School. Check-in is Aug. 23 at 9 a.m. at the school. Registration deadline is Aug. 18.

Players are asked to bring football cleats, practice jersey, mouth guard and full pads and helmet.

Equipment checkout for Junior Tackle players is scheduled for Aug. 20.

COEUR d’ALENE RECREATION

Fall youth soccer: The Coeur d’Alene Recreation Department announces registration for youth fall soccer for all boys and girls grades K-8. Registration will be held Aug. 1-16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The office is located at 710 Mullan Avenue in the lower level of Coeur d’Alene City Hall.

The league will start in mid-September and runs through the end of October.

Registration fees are $11 for Coeur d’Alene city residents and $22 for non-city residents.

Mini kickers soccer: In conjunction with Sting Soccer Club we will offer a camp style soccer activity for 3- and 4-year-olds.

Registration begins Aug. 8 and will continue until full. There is a limited number of openings so register early.

This consists of four one-hour sessions on Saturday mornings.

The Coeur d’Alene Sting Soccer Club will facilitate each Saturday session with parent participation encouraged. There are no practices.

Players must bring a size 3 soccer ball. Cost is $30.

Youth flag football: Registration for fall flag football for second- and third-graders will take place Aug. 1-26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Recreation Department, located in the City Hall at 710 Mullan Avenue.

Practices and games begin after Labor Day.
