North Idaho Elite sweeps at showcase

SPOKANE — The North Idaho Elite girls basketball team went 4-0 this past weekend at the NCAA-certified Summer Heat Showcase held at The Warehouse and Gonzaga Prep.

On Saturday, the Elite beat EBX Black of San Francisco 59-52 and the Montana Elite squad 61-45. They topped the Montana Breakers 58-44 and Hoop Dreams Blue 63-44 on Sunday.

North Idaho Elite coach Ron Adams said 42 college coaches — including coaches from five NCAA Division I conferences — attended the event.

The North Idaho Elite returns to action this Wednesday at the West Coast Nationals in San Diego.
