COEUR d’ALENE — Join CDA 2030 to celebrate three years of progress in establishing and implementing a vision for the community during the "Geared Toward the Future" event Thursday in Riverstone Park.

The CDA 2030 Board of Directors invites everyone who has supported the organization, as well as interested community members, to attend the free event, which will feature music, family fun, demonstrations and updates.

The Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance Summer Concert Series and sponsor Idaho Central Credit Union will present music provided by the Maw Band with opener Hannah Rebecca.

Free Sweet Peaks ice cream will be available for the first 500 attendees as well as unlimited use of the Photboxx Hashtag Printer for commemorative event photos.

A Kindle Fire, Silverwood Theme Park tickets, a zip line adventure and more prizes will be raffled off to attendees who complete their action booth passports.

Attendees will also have the chance to select a Future Frontiers/Frontier Communications grant recipient and University of Idaho College of Engineering scholarship recipient by voting on their favorite project.

No-host alcoholic beverages will be available with proceeds benefiting the Arts and Culture Alliance.

CDA 2030 is a collaborative, community-based organization developed in 2013 to create a long-term vision and implementation plan for greater Coeur d'Alene. Based on input from thousands of citizens, a vision emerged and is organized by six broad focus areas as well as an implementation plan, which details actions the nonprofit will help undertake to inform local plans and decisions.

CDA 2030 will continue to foster the implementation plan progress, involving the community for a bright future for Coeur d'Alene.

The "Geared Toward the Future" celebration will go from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Riverstone Park is located at 1805 Tilford Lane.
