Hinz service scheduled for next Friday night

POST FALLS — The memorial service for Jeff Hinz will take place on next Friday, July 29, at 7 p.m. on the Post Falls High football field, the family announced Friday on its “Tackle Cancer with Coach Hinz” Facebook page.

A celebration of life will follow at the Greyhound Park and Event Center. Appetizers will be provided at the celebration, and a no-host bar will be available.

Hinz, the Post Falls High head football coach the past 11 seasons, died Wednesday night following a nearly three-year battle with non-smoker’s lung cancer. He was 45.
