SUGGESTED: Beach and fireworks

It was great that someone put in a shower and foot wash at City Park, but now it is time to put something down at the public parts of Sanders Beach. Our little neighborhood beach is getting busier with triathlete swimmers and locals discovering a smaller, quieter beach. It would be nice for our athletes and locals to have at least a foot shower at both entrances to the Sanders beaches. This would be a beneficial investment.

On another note, I think that a donation of $1 for each person for the fireworks is not unreasonable. There were only a few people that came by collecting money, I think more volunteers to collect money from the chamber group for our wonderful fireworks would prove more successful. In years past, I remember someone coming by about every five minutes. This year, I only remember one group. That may be the reason for lack of funds.
