FIREWORKS: Short in Spirit Lake

A shout-out to all those who enjoyed Spirit Lake’s Fourth of July celebrations, especially the fireworks. We came up short on funding AGAIN! More than $300 last year, more than $600 this year.

We at Spirit Lake Visions were able to cover the cost but it was at the expense of our upcoming Christmas with Santa, Gifts for Girls & Boys, Santa Shop and Easter Egg Hunt. A BIG THANK YOU to those who helped us this year — City of Spirit Lake, Spirit Lake Chamber of Commerce, Spirit Lake Senior Citizens, Raffle-canister-shaker donors (nearly $1,000) Miller’s Harvest Foods, Old West Hardware, Sondahl’s Pottery and Silver Beach.

It’s been a pleasure (most of the time!) to provide enjoyment for all of you. Now it is your turn to let us know that you want us to continue these things.
