CHEERS: For blue collars

I think as a society we are confused as to who the heroes are. The heroes are not the professional athletes nor the stars of music and films. The heroes are not even the doctors and health professionals, important as they are.

The heroes are the working men and women whose efforts create the wealth upon which all other endeavors depend. That is not to say that entertainment, education, health care and all service businesses are unimportant, it is just to say they cannot exist but for the workers who make our economy function. They are the heroes, and their contributions are not generally recognized. Hurray for blue collar America.
