ELECTION: We lose, America

| July 17, 2016 9:00 PM

How the FBI could issue such a scathing list of Hillary Clinton’s private server abuses and then summarize the investigation by saying, “No reasonable prosecutor would indict her” is beyond my comprehension.

Let’s review the past two week’s activity of the Clinton camp — First: Bill Clinton met privately with the United States Attorneys General for more than 30 minutes on an airport tarmac. Per them nothing relative to the private server was discussed — an answer you would expect from the man who once stated, “I did not have sex with that woman.” Next: The FBI met privately and secretly with Hillary for three hours over the holiday. Finally: The FBI recommends no further action is needed; yet, the FBI Director says they had no way to verify that three private servers used overseas were not compromised by loss of classified data.

The Clintons seem to walk the fine line of legality. Here are a few examples: They learned well from Richard Nixon’s Water Gate experience that it was better not to leave a paper trail of their White Water dealings. As pointed out by Bernie Sanders, both Clintons have received huge campaign contributions from overseas organizations; the Clinton Foundation uses a Canadian firm to launder its contributions to avoid personal identity. Hillary tried to cover up the fact that she and Obama had been warned of an attack on the Libyan Embassy and did nothing. In effect she lied. She knew that data routed through government servers could be open to review, so she chose to set up her own private severs. She calls that a mistake.

During her testimony with Congress, Hillary perjured herself by saying she never routed classified data over her private servers. One hundred and thirty or more classified documents were indeed forwarded over those servers. If some weren’t marked Secret, no matter, she knew the information was classified. If the documents were classified Secret after processing, she should have handled the documents as classified before processing. Hillary should not be given a free pass. General Petraeus was removed from his command for a lesser breach in security.

The real losers in this presidential campaign are the American voters. How do you vote for candidates with no ethics? Both political parties could have given us better options.
