HAYDEN — The annual Hayden Days celebration, sponsored by the city of Hayden, will be held July 22-23 in McIntire Family Park.

The fun begins at 2 p.m. Friday with live music, dancing, food and craft vendors and the Hayden Senior Center beer garden. The Kelly Hughes Band will perform in the evening.

At 7 a.m. Saturday, the Northern Lakes Fire District and Hayden Chamber of Commerce will host a pancake breakfast at the Northern Lakes Fire Station, 125 W. Hayden Ave. The all-you-can-eat breakfast is $7 and will be served until 9:30 a.m.

The annual Hayden Days Parade begins at 10 a.m. and will go along Government Way starting at Hayden Avenue and ending at Nita Avenue. This year's parade will include the 2016 Hayden Citizen of the Year and grand marshal Theresa Hart, Northern Lakes Fire Protection District, the U.S. Forest Service and Smokey the Bear, the Hot Punch Highlanders, Coeur d'Alene High School Vikettes, the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office, Kootenai County Fairgrounds/Rodeo and Miss Gem State, the North Idaho Fallen Hero Banner Project and more. Applications will be accepted until Monday; after Monday call 209-1080 to check availability.

The annual Napa Car Show will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday with registration beginning at 11 a.m. Zumba and cheerleading demonstrations will start at 11:30 a.m. The Hayden's Got Talent show will be from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and judges and the audience will determine the winners. Smash Hit Carnival will perform that evening.

Hayden Days events will include an abundance of activities for the kids — pony rides, bouncy houses, spin art, a dunk tank, water bobbles, games and much more.

Food and mixed-goods vendors will be on site with a variety of cuisine and merchandise. Vendors are still being accepted based on availability along with a $15 late fee.
