Idaho District 1 baseball tournaments

MAJORS (age 11-12)

Lewiston 15, Sandpoint 0, 4 inn.: Lewiston scored 11 runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back at Croffoot Park in Hayden, winning the best-of-3 series for the district title 2-1.

Lewiston advances to the best-of-3 state playoffs July 22-24 in Eagle vs. the District 2 champion from the Boise area.

Quinton Edmison hit two home runs in the top of the first for Lewiston, including a solo shot on the first pitch of the game, and a three-run homer later in the inning.

Chris Ricard hit a three-run homer in the fourth.

Cruz Hepburn faced 14 batters, striking out 11. He allowed one hit and walked one.

Zeke Roop had the lone hit for Sandpoint, which forced a deciding game by winning on Saturday.
