| July 6, 2016 9:00 PM

Edward “Ned” O’Brien, 46, of Hayden Lake, Idaho, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2016, after a long illness.

Ned was born in Brecksville, Ohio, on Sept. 21, 1969. He was a caring, loving child and a wonderful brother. While at Barrington High School, Ned was a competitive wrestler who loved the sport. Shortly after moving to Idaho at age 18, Ned began his career at UPS, where he remained a dedicated driver until the end.

Ned was independent, kind and loyal. He will be remembered by his many devoted friends, family and all those he met along his route.

Ned was preceded in death by his father, William L. O’Brien; niece Courtney Hummel and beloved dog, Emerson. He is survived by his mother, Joan K. O’Brien; sisters Mary Hummel, Joan (Joe) Rokas, Janine (Kevin) Larson and Pat Adamovic; brothers Bill (Kelly) O’Brien and Anthony (Huyen) O’Brien; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him as well.

Special thanks to all the friends in Idaho who knew, loved and cared for our Ned.

A celebration of Ned’s life will take place from 1-3 p.m. Saturday July 9, 2016, at O’Shay’s Irish Pub, 313 Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
