Hagadone announces Cantu's return to Bonsai
Hagadone Hospitality announced Eddie Cantu has returned to the company as general manager of Bonsai Bistro. Cantu will be partnering with executive chef Troy Chandler to raise the bar in pan-Asian food in the Pacific Northwest.
Cantu previously worked with Hagadone Hospitality in 1999 as the general manager of Dockside Restaurant and then again when he managed The Cedars Floating Restaurant.
“It is great to have the opportunity to work with Eddie Cantu again,” said Rick Powers, director of food and beverage with Hagadone Hospitality.
Cantu’s previous experience includes general manager of C.I. Shenanigan’s in Tacoma, Wash.; general manager of the Columbia Tower Club in Seattle, Wash.; and also a multi-unit manager with El Torito’s Mexican Restaurants.
“I’ve worked in 10 different western states, and this area has the nicest people,” Cantu said. “And in all my experience, Hagadone Hospitality Co. is second to none.”
Cantu plans to fine-tune the service at Bonsai Bistro, allowing Chandler to bring the food quality to an all-time high.
